Sunday, December 1st

With our 30 Days of Praise challenge already a memory, December has blown in with a bang.  Stores are already scrambling to keep up with America's dash to snatch up the latest techy gadget.  I'll be honest, Christmas is my favorite time of year.  I love that during this one month, a form of Christ's name is written and spoken hundreds, even thousands, of times a day.  Unwittingly, maybe, but, spoken nonetheless.  I want to remind you, girls, to not let the commercialization or the materialistic attitudes steal your Christmas joy.  Use this opportunity as a tool to witness.  And, don't for one moment, allow yourself to be a pawn in our politically-correct society.  "What do you mean by that, Mrs. Kim?"  When the little cashiere tells you Happy Holidays, look her straight in the eyes and wish her a Merry CHRISTmas.  Ask God to give you the boldness to slip her a Christmas tract while you pay.  Remember, it is His birth we are celebrating, after all.

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Philippians 1:18

Celebrate Christ, girls.  Not just on the 25th; not even just during December.  But, let this month's festivities begin a fire in you that will continue into the new year and beyond.

Scripture Reading for the Day:

Proverbs 1
II Corinthians 9

  1. Truth, girls! It's so EASY to hand the cashier/waitress a tract and say "Merry Christmas!"

  2. Truth be told Christmas is my favorite time of the year to! It is very easy to forget the real reason of Christmas in our world today. Somehow its more about Santa Claus and elfs. We need to remember that without Jesus there would be no Christmas!
