...but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.  James 5:12

Is your word valuable to you?  When you tell someone you're going to do something or be somewhere, do you make it your priority to do as you've spoken?  It is important, girls!  Too often, when our commitments have weighed us down or frankly, when it is inconvenient for us, we offer a shallow apology for failing to do as we've spoken and go about our merry way.  Though there truly are times that are beyond our control when what we've said or planned has to be changed.  These are not the situations I'm speaking about.  I am talking about not showing up for a commitment because we just don't feel like going or because a more entertaining option has become available.  Your word, your commitment must be valuable to you or it will not be valued by others. The Lord intends for His people to be people of integrity and honor.  We are representing our Father Who always keeps His word.  Consider this:  All some people know of God is only what they see in us.  We have a precious responsibility to ensure that we represent the integrity of the Lord accurately.  He keeps His word; we should always keep ours.
